The founders of Salaam Ministries spent 3 decades planting churches in Muslim nations and witnessed an extraordinary movement of Muslims turning their hearts to Jesus and leaving Islam for a life centered around Christ.
Our mission is to help this vulnerable group of new believers strengthen their faith in Jesus.
Story
This new faith journey is fragile. Courageous believers leaving their previous communities of faith often face isolation, upheaval, loneliness, and outright hostility from friends and family.
Our research indicates that up to 80% of new believers fall away from their faith.
Growth happens in the safety of a caring community that provides support, guidance and discipleship.
Salaam Ministries was born out of a vision to support new believers by providing spiritual training and discipleship, and most importantly, a community of believers to help them grow in their faith.

Salaam Ministries trains Christian leaders around the world in a curriculum designed to share the hope of Jesus and provide freedom from previously held beliefs that seek to control and discourage new believers.
These training programs also provide supportive communities for new believers to grow in their faith. Our training tools are reproducible, consistent, and effective.

Discipleship is the foundation of our mission. New believers have faith that is like a seed, newly planted. Discipleship, or spiritual training, helps this seed take root and grow. Without spiritual training and teaching that shows believers how to live with Jesus at the center of their lives, many people fall away from their faith when they face the challenges of life.
We offer discipleship training in the context of a supportive community so that new believers are surrounded with people who believe in them and will care for them along their spiritual journey.
In 2013, Salaam Ministries adopted the book Liberty to the Captives (LttC) as the cornerstone of our discipleship efforts among Muslims.
This transformative tool equips pastors, evangelists, and leaders to address the unique challenges faced by those leaving Islam to follow Christ.

We see the transformation that comes from the Hope of Christ. There are people all over the world who need access to this hope and who need support to grow and be rooted in their faith. The need for effective discipleship continues to grow around the world.
Salaam Ministries has a bold 3 year plan to expand capacity, increase our reach, and provide discipleship training to more regions around the world.

In 2024, Salaam was invited to train leaders in three new limited-access countries, marking a significant breakthrough in our goal to expand to other less-reached regions globally.
In addition, we plan to expand to more Greater Middle Eastern countries, including high-priority regions in Egypt, Pakistan, and Libya by 2027.
These areas are desperate for transformation and hope, and we are committed to reaching them with the gospel.
To expand our capacity, we are recruiting and training 12 new Training Partners over the next three years. These leaders are essential to increasing discipleship efforts, supporting local communities, and ensuring that new believers are surrounded with love and support as they grow in their faith.
In addition to more Training Partners, we plan to add three full-time staff members to our team over the next three years. These new hires will strengthen our operational capacity and support our leadership through their roles as: Programs Coordinator, Resource Development Manager, and Operations and Fundraising Specialist.

We are developing a new digital oral-language edition of Liberty to the Captives (LttC) to meet the unique needs of oral learners. This platform will deliver content in a format tailored to diverse learning styles, starting with the translation, recording, and digitization of the first Arabic dialect by the end of 2025.
We are also translating Liberty to the Captives into additional languages, to address accessibility challenges by purchasing an initial 500 MegaVoice devices. These portable, audio-based tools will empower leaders to disciple communities with limited literacy or digital access.

he demand for Liberty to the Captives and other discipleship materials is outpacing our current capacity for production and supply. We need to scale up production and distribution to ensure every leader and new believer has access to these tools.
Train More Leaders & Training Partners
Local leaders are the backbone of our mission. To sustain and multiply discipleship training, we need to train more pastors, leaders, and Training Partners to support believers in their communities.
Expand Accessibility
We are committed to translating our resources into more languages, to reach even the most remote and underserved communities.
Grow Our Team and Partnerships
As the demand for our programs grows, so does the need for a strong operational foundation. We need additional staff and partners to facilitate training, coordinate logistics, and expand our reach. We equally need partners to cover us in prayer, financial support, and be ambassadors for our mission.

We need young leaders to help us grow and innovate, bringing fresh energy and creative solutions for the next generation of ministry.
Our goal is to raise $200,000 by the end of 2026 to expand Salaam Ministries’ reach and capacity.
