Peace for today.
Hope for tomorrow.
The courageous journey from
Islam to Christ is costly—
without strong support,
most new believers
fall away.
For 15 years, Salaam Ministries has wholeheartedly focused on the mission of equipping leaders to liberate and disciple Muslims choosing to leave their faith of origin for the peace and hope of Christ.
Prior to this, the founders of Salaam Ministries spent two decades planting churches in Muslim nations and witnessed an extraordinary movement of Muslims turning their hearts to Jesus and leaving Islam for a life centered around Christ.
Our mission is to help this vulnerable group of new believers strengthen their faith in Jesus.

Story
This new faith journey is fragile. Courageous believers leaving their previous communities of faith often face loneliness, isolation, upheaval, outright hostility, and perhaps death from family and friends.
Some studies now show that about 80% of new believers from a Muslim background fall away from following Christ.
Research in some regions indicates that about 80% of new believers fall away from following Christ.
Growth happens in the safety of a caring community that provides support, guidance and discipleship.
Salaam Ministries was born out of a vision to support new believers by providing spiritual training and discipleship, and importantly, a community of believers to help them grow in their faith.
Salaam provides spiritual training and discipleship, and importantly, a community of believers to help them grow in their faith.

Salaam Ministries trains Christian leaders around the world in a curriculum designed to share the hope of Jesus and provide freedom from previously held beliefs that seek to control and discourage new believers.
These training programs also catalyze supportive communities for new believers to grow in their faith. Our training tools are reproducible, consistent, and effective.
Training programs that create lasting impact in communities of new believers.

Over the past decade, we have witnessed the faithfulness of God in so many ways. Thousands of former Muslims have embraced the gospel, found healing, and stepped into their God-given purpose.
Daily, we are moved by stories of transformation and we watch with joy as new leaders are creating lasting change in their communities.
“Before knowing Christ, my faith was rooted in fear and ritual. Through Salaam, I’ve learned what it means to live in freedom and grace. I am no longer bound by fear but walk confidently in His love.”

“Go and make disciples of all nations…”
Matthew 28:19
Discipleship is the foundation of our mission. New believers have faith that is like a seed, newly planted. Discipleship, or spiritual training, helps this seed take root and grow. Without spiritual training and teaching that shows believers how to live with Jesus at the center of their lives, many people fall away from their faith when they face the challenges of life.
Salaam teaches national leaders to offer discipleship training in a supportive community, so that new believers are surrounded with people who believe in them and will care for them along their spiritual journey.

In 2013, Salaam Ministries adopted the book Liberty to the Captives, by Dr. Mark Durie as the cornerstone of our discipleship efforts among Muslims.
This transformative tool equips pastors, evangelists, and leaders to address the unique challenges faced by those leaving Islam to follow Christ.
Liberty to the Captives has become a pillar of our ministry, enabling us to provide three critical aspects.

Culturally Relevant Discipleship
Providing practical guidance for new believers to fully leave the covenants of Islam to fully unite with Christ.

Community-Centered Support
Equipping leaders and networks to run local solutions to address the social and spiritual challenges of leaving Islam.

Resourcing National Leaders
Equipping leaders and networks with reproducible tools to offer discipleship through a supportive faith community.
Our fruit and growth so far serving across the world

While the transformation is evident, the need remains immense. Many more are waiting to hear the gospel and experience the life-changing power of discipleship.
We see the transformation that comes from the Hope of Christ. There are people all over the world who need access to this hope and who need support to grow and be rooted in their faith. The need for effective discipleship continues to grow around the world.
Salaam Ministries has a bold 3-year plan to expand capacity, increase our reach, and provide discipleship training to more regions around the world.
Our 2025-2027 Focus Areas
Will you join us in leaving a legacy of hope, where new believers are resourced, supported, and trained to be strong in their faith?
1.
Increasing
Geographic
Reach
In 2024, Salaam was invited to train leaders in three new limited-access countries, marking a significant breakthrough in our goal to expand to other less-reached regions globally.
In addition, we plan to expand to more Greater Middle Eastern countries, including high-priority regions in Egypt, Pakistan, and Libya by 2027.
These areas are desperate for transformation and hope, and we are committed to reaching them with the gospel.

To expand our capacity, we are recruiting and training 12 new Training Partners over the next three years. These leaders are essential to increasing discipleship efforts, supporting local communities, and ensuring that new believers are surrounded with love and support as they grow in their faith.
In addition to more Training Partners, we plan to add three full-time staff members to our team over the next three years. These new hires will strengthen our operational capacity and support our leadership through their roles as: Programs Coordinator, Resource Development Manager, and Operations and Fundraising Specialist.
2.
Operational & Leadership Development
This investment in personnel reflects our commitment to building the infrastructure necessary to multiply our impact and ensure all choosing to leave Islam have the best opportunity possible to become established in Christ.
3.
Supply.
Multiply.
Development of a new orality edition of Liberty to the Captives is underway. When this new resource has been completed, translated, recorded and digitized, it will allow us to train leaders making disciples among Muslims, who learn primarily in an oral language.
This initial audio-based resource will be tested by supplying 500 MegaVoice devices to training partners working in communities with limited internet and literacy. Then this reproducible training resource will be translated, and digitized in additional orality languages, equipping multiple Training Partners, invarious countries.
“Liberty to the Captives has helped thousands of former Muslims around the world experience genuine freedom in Christ and be released from spiritual bondage.”
“Mark Durie’s Liberty to the Captives is a watershed for understanding the covenantal nature of Islam.
This has been an overlooked aspect of ministry in Muslim contexts.”
“I have used Liberty to the Captives for training leaders for the last 5 years, and witnessed its powerful
transforming impact in the lives of former Muslims.”
